COMM 3263W is a 25-person course that overviews the analysis of media images and messages, as well as principles of media effects, identity, and production. Fulfills writing-enriched component; delivered online asynchronously.

ENVIRONMENTAL COMMUNICATION, UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA-TWIN CITIES

COMM 4250 is a capstone course that reviews the historical, cultural, and material contexts within which environmental communication takes place. Included an 11-person a study abroad component in Costa Rica over spring break; delivered in person.

ANALYSIS OF ARGUMENT, UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA-TWIN CITIES

COMM 1313W is a 25-person introductory required course for Communication Studies major and minors that provides strategies for analyzing, evaluating, and generating arguments. Fulfills writing-enriched requirement; delivered in person.

FUNDAMENTALS OF HUMAN COMMUNICATION, JAMES MADISON UNIVERSITY

SCOM 121/122/123 is a 30-person general education skills-based class aimed at understanding the role of the human process through the principles and practices of interpersonal, small group, and public communication. Public speaking required; delivered in person.

GRADUATE RESEARCH ASSISTANT, UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA-TWIN CITIES

Writing Enriched Curriculum (WEC) RA for the Communication Studies department. Assisted department WEC liaisons with implementing WEC communities of practice, developing writing assignments and activities, and organizing and facilitating topic-specific workshops to exchange ideas and materials. Previously aided summer course redesign efforts with textbook evaluation, assessment development, and syllabus creation for COMM 1313W.

Fall 2019

GRADUATE TEACHING ASSISTANT, UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA-TWIN CITIES

One of four TAs for 125 undergraduate students in COMM 3211: Intro to Media Studies. Responsible for grading weekly discussion posts, essays, tests, and in-class presentations for two sections of 15 undergraduate students each.

Summer 2016

STUDY ABROAD GRADUATE ASSISTANT, JAMES MADISON UNIVERSITY

Accompanied 19 undergraduate students on the summer study abroad program Communication, Culture, and Conflict in Ireland. Chaperoned program activities and contributed to the creation of course materials for two classes, Study Abroad Seminar (SCOM 395) and Advanced Topics in Communication Studies: Communication, Conflict, and Identity (SCOM 413).
